“You can leave” – Chelsea have agree to sell 22 year old player this summer

Pochettino’s Wide Options and Palmer’s Consistency

In the upcoming summer transfer window, Chelsea seems poised to shake up their attacking lineup. Among the current wide options under Mauricio Pochettino’s purview are Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke.

Out of this quartet, Cole Palmer stands out as the most consistent performer. Throughout the season, Palmer has showcased remarkable form, tallying an impressive 23 goals and 13 assists in 39 games for Chelsea. However, his absence during Chelsea’s recent 5-0 defeat against Arsenal raises questions about his availability for the upcoming Aston Villa match.

Potential Departures: Sterling and Madueke

While Palmer seems integral to Chelsea’s plans, the futures of Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke appear uncertain. According to reports by journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea is open to considering offers for both Sterling and Madueke.

Phillips stated on his Substack, “There aren’t too many players that Chelsea would not at least listen to offers for this summer, and two of them I understand to be Noni Madueke and Raheem Sterling.”

Assessing Noni Madueke’s Situation

Noni Madueke, in particular, has faced scrutiny due to recent incidents. His demeanor after a Chelsea defeat, juxtaposed with Thiago Silva’s visible emotions, drew attention. Additionally, a previous altercation over a penalty added to the negative spotlight.

However, despite these setbacks, Madueke possesses undeniable talent, notably showcased in his exceptional dribbling skills. His contributions have led to penalties for Chelsea this season, highlighting his prowess on the field. Statistical data from FBref indicates his proficiency, ranking in the 99th percentile for progressive carries and the 95th for successful take-ons.

Ultimately, while there are concerns surrounding Madueke’s conduct, his on-field capabilities make a strong case for Chelsea to retain him for the foreseeable future.
