“He’s not leaving” – Chelsea absolutely cannot consider selling £52m man, he has the potential to be their best player

“He’s not on the selling list” – Chelsea absolutely cannot consider selling £52m man, he has the potential to be their best player

A New Contender Emerges

Is Christopher Nkunku Set to Surpass Cole Palmer?

Currently, Cole Palmer stands out as one of Chelsea’s most formidable players. The attacker has consistently been the team’s leading performer, demonstrating remarkable productivity throughout the season.

In his 37 appearances for Chelsea, Palmer has contributed significantly, tallying a total of 32 goals. Notably, 19 of these goals were netted by the Englishman himself, solidifying his position as a potent forward.

Yet, amidst Palmer’s dominance, it’s crucial to acknowledge the potential within Chelsea’s squad. While Palmer shines brightly now, there’s a contender brewing, and prematurely selling him would be a grave mistake.

The Roster and Its Prospects

A Closer Look at Chelsea’s Offensive Arsenal

Within Mauricio Pochettino’s lineup, alongside Palmer, are other notable attackers such as Nicolas Jackson, Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke. However, none have managed to match Palmer’s level of performance this season.

Sterling, despite his past prowess at Manchester City, has struggled to replicate his form at Chelsea. Mudryk, despite his hefty price tag, has failed to meet expectations, while Nkunku has grappled with injuries for much of the season.

However, amidst these challenges, Christopher Nkunku emerges as a dark horse. If he can fully recover and maintain fitness in the upcoming 2024/25 campaign, Chelsea may find themselves with a player even more exceptional than Palmer.

Unveiling Nkunku’s Potential

Analyzing Nkunku’s Impact and Future Prospect

Assessing Nkunku’s track record at RB Leipzig offers a glimpse into his potential at Chelsea. In the 2021/22 season alone, Nkunku impressively scored 35 goals across all competitions, a feat that prompted Chelsea to invest £52 million in securing his services.

Despite facing setbacks due to injuries, Nkunku’s talent has not gone unnoticed. Journalist Simon Phillips reports that Saudi Arabia is closely monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation at Stamford Bridge.

Given Nkunku’s demonstrated capabilities and potential, it would be ill-advised for Chelsea to entertain the idea of selling him this summer. Instead, they must afford him another year to fully showcase his abilities and potentially surpass Palmer as the team’s standout player.
