Presenter says people close to the club think ‘unlucky’ Chelsea player is absolutely brilliant
Chelsea’s Squad Depth Giving Enzo Maresca Exciting Options
Chelsea fans have every reason to be thrilled with the quality at new manager Enzo Maresca’s disposal. The team’s talent pool played a huge role in their recent 1-0 victory over Bournemouth, where they were on the back foot for much of the match but still managed to secure all three points.
Maresca was able to call upon some top-tier players from the bench, with Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku combining brilliantly to produce the game’s only goal.
Christopher Nkunku Highly Rated by Chelsea Insiders
There’s no question that the club has high expectations for Nkunku. Chris McHardy, speaking on the Obi One Podcast, revealed that friends within the club have expressed strong confidence in the French international’s abilities.
“I’ve got a couple of friends close to the club who tell me Christopher Nkunku has been TOP. He’s been unlucky with injuries,” McHardy shared, highlighting the club’s belief in Nkunku’s talent.
Selection Dilemma for Maresca Ahead of West Ham Clash
Nkunku’s strong performance off the bench has given Maresca a real headache ahead of their upcoming match against West Ham. With Nkunku making a solid case for a starting role, the coach may need to rethink his lineup.
At the moment, Cole Palmer seems to have cemented his place in the central attacking midfield position. However, Nkunku could be shifted into the forward line, potentially taking over from Nicolas Jackson, a player who’s also impressed the club with his contributions since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
As Chelsea gears up for this weekend’s London derby, it will be interesting to see if Maresca opts for a change in his starting XI to accommodate Nkunku’s undeniable impact.
